Waking up is hard enough without the added pressure of being late. I know that if I wake up late or haven’t been organised, this results in me frantically running around trying to get things done before heading out the door. So here’s three simple things I do the night before just to have a few more minutes of sleep the next morning:
1.Decide what to wear
I don’t know about you, but sometimes it’s just not easy to figure out what you want to wear. If you are one of those people who takes up too much time in the morning going through your closet, try doing this the night before. Before going to sleep, choose the clothes you want to wear and have them out and ready to throw on in the morning. This can save at least a few minutes of frantically fumbling through clothes and possibly leaving a mess in your closet.
2. Have food prepared
For those of you who are running around trying to prepare lunch or snacks on the same day, stop right there! The night before, have food prepared and keep it in the fridge. Then in the morning before you leave the house you can simply pack it and be on your way out the door.
3. Organize bag
If you have books and papers that you know you will need to take with you, organize your bag the night before. Trust me on this one, it saves so much time, especially if you can’t find what you are looking for. It definitely won’t be fun frantically searching all over the house 2 minutes before having to leave! If you take the time to make sure everything is already packed in your bag, the next day it’s unlikely that you will need to worry that you might have forgotten to bring something.
Now hopefully you’ll be able to save yourself a few extra minutes of sleep before the dreaded alarm wakes you up!
